Our research group is based primarily at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento, in Rovereto, Italy.Â
The group was established in 2021 in Milan at the School of Psychology of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and at the Division of Neuroscience of I.R.C.C.S. San Raffaele Hospital, where part of the research is still ongoing.
Our research is focused on the understanding of fundamental aspects of human sensation, perception and cognition, with a special focus on the functional role of neural oscillations and rhythmic brain activity. We do basic research trying to link mind and brain, and we study neurodevelopmental conditions such as developmental dyslexia and autism spectrum disorders, to clarify how anomalies in basic sensory/cognitive functions and the related 'oscillopathies' can give rise to derailments of more complex domains.
